Many see their chiropractor as their family doctor.
The number of chiropractic adjustments varies with each patient. Depending on the type of condition treated and how long it’s been there. The age of the patient and the individual health goals of the patient.
Patients often feel a relief after the first few adjustments. In the beginning the treatments are usually more frequent (first 2 visits are usually within a week of each other) This usually becomes far less frequent as the condition stabilizes.
“Will I get addicted to chiropractic adjustments?”
No. Many people feel a pleasant sense of ease and well-being after their chiropractic adjustments. Some feel as though their power has been “turned on.”
Others feel more whole or “connected.” (This is what “normal” feels like!) Once people experience this feeling they often choose to adopt some type of ongoing schedule of care so they continue to feel this way all the time. It’s not an addiction.
“Why are so many visits necessary?”
By the time many people consult our practice, they’ve had their problem for some time. Retraining muscles and ligaments that support the spine takes time. Each visit builds on the ones before. Remember, you’re doing the healing, not the chiropractor!
if you require any further information or advice, please call our out-of-hours number:
The government has published legislation allowing vocational healthcare practitioners(dentists, opticians, chiropractors, osteopaths etc) to go to work.
However, it must be stressed that this is for emergency care only. Clearly everyone’s definition of an emergency may be slightly different so please call and I will do my best to help you stay safe, well and out of pain.
